Staying Connected

Recently, a soldier in Iraq, wrote his mother he was so disappointed he couldn’t watch the live stream of the Warehouse Sunday services because of slow bandwidth in Iraq.  We went to work and made it possible to download the services on Sunday afternoons so this young man and others dispersed around the world could stay connected by computer to their church home.

The same week I happened to encounter several people around town who told me they are unable to attend Warehouse, yet how much the ministry means to them. They are great friends of Warehouse, their spiritual history is here and while they have gone on to other fields of ministry, they tell me of the bond remaining to all of us.   I thought about our interconnectedness in the family of God, the church family, sometimes separated by distance or circumstances, but always a family.

I want to stay in touch with that family throughout the US and abroad and now the Internet makes it possible with blogging, live streaming and pod casts. I love to engage in conversation with the church family at our weekly services, but this is a small part of our greater Warehouse family.  Many thousands have come through our doors in our years of the ministry at Warehouse, but in just three months over 4,000 people watched our live stream services.

Individuals I meet in my daily rounds are glad to hear about our online broadcast and I found myself wishing I had a card to hand to them with our web address.  I decided to have some cards made up for all of us to use when an opening comes.  Click here for the free download of printable cards.  I’m asking you to forward this download to friends and family for this is how our family can reconnect and stay in touch.
